Avril is a cool character. She vows that she will never worry
about what others think of her, ‘I’m gonna dress what’s me,
I’m gonna act what’s me and I’m gonna sing what’s me’.
At a young age, Avril began singing whenever and wherever she
could, in church singing gospel music, festivals, talent contests
and even country music fairs!!!
Avril dropped out of school after the 11th grade when she secured
a record deal with Arista Records when she was just 16. She
has said, however, that she will eventually go back to school
and even hopes to go on to college…smart girl.
She was a tomboy when she was younger, playing hockey during winter and baseball in the summer.
